Q. What is Pay & GO?
A. Pay & GO is GO Federal Credit Union’s funds-transfer service powered by PayPal. It is a fast and secure way to transfer funds to another person or merchant outside the Credit Union.

Q. What does Pay & GO do?
A. You can send money to anyone using either their mobile phone number or their email address.

Q. What is required to use Pay & GO?
A. A mobile device equipped with the GO Federal Credit Union mobile App and a GO FCU checking account.

Q. Do I need a PayPal account?
A. No. GO Federal Credit Union allows members to send money without having to enroll in a PayPal account.

Q. Does the recipient need a PayPal account?
A. Yes. The recipient will need a PayPal account to claim the funds. If the recipient does not have a PayPal account, signing up for one takes only a few minutes.

Q. How much can I send?
A. You can send up to $1,000 per day in as many transactions as you want. The minimum amount you can send is $1.00.

Q. How much does it cost to use Pay & GO?
A. GO Federal Credit Union provides Pay & GO as a free service to our members.

Q. How soon are the funds taken from my account?
A. The funds are withdrawn from your account immediately.

Q. Typically, how long does it take before the funds are available to the recipient?
A. If the recipient has an existing PayPal account, the funds are available to them in their PayPal account immediately. If the recipient does not have a PayPal account, the funds will be available as soon as they open a PayPal account, which takes only a few minutes to set up. The recipient can then spend the funds online or, if they choose, transfer it to their bank account.

Q. Is the recipient notified that they have been sent money?
A. Yes. The recipient will receive an email or text message from PayPal informing them that they have been sent money.

Q. What if the recipient doesn’t claim the funds?
A. If the recipient doesn’t claim the funds within thirty (30) days, the transaction will be automatically cancelled and the funds will be returned to your account.

Q. Where can I view my Pay & GO transactions?
A. On the GO Federal Credit Union App, click on Pay & GO, and choose “History”. You can also view Pay & GO transactions in Home Banking, or on your monthly statement.

Q. How can I receive text messages to validate my Pay & GO transfers?
A. Go to the GOmobile section of Home Banking and register your mobile device.

Q. Can I cancel Pay & GO transactions?
A. If the recipient has already claimed the funds, no. To find out if the funds have been claimed, you will need to go to “History” through the App and locate the transaction. If the status reads “Pending” you may select it and cancel the transaction.

Q. What happens if I cancel a payment?
A. If you cancel a payment, the recipient will receive a message to inform them that the payment was cancelled. The funds will be credited back to you during the next GO Federal Credit Union processing cycle, usually within one (1) business day.

Q. Is Pay & GO the fastest way to send someone money?
A. Sometimes. Pay & GO is fast, but you can instantly transfer money to someone through GO Federal Credit Union’s Home Banking if you and the recipient both have a GO FCU account. If you want to transfer funds between your account at GO FCU and another institution, you can transfer using Home Banking. For other purposes, Pay & GO is likely to be the fastest option.
